What is the On the Job Training (OJT) Program?

Eligible employers who hire eligible job seekers will qualify to receive reimbursement of 50% of that job seekers wages for a pre-determined training period. If you’re a job seeker, see our OJT Information for Job Seekers.

Who is Eligible?

  • OJTs may be provided to public sector, private sector, for-profit, and not-for-profit employers unless prohibited by federal or state policy. OJTs must be for full time employment. An OJT contract may not exceed $8,000 per training; there is no cap on the amount to be reimbursed per employer.
  • In order to be eligible, an employer must complete a pre-award survey  and an Agreement.
