Transportation to Healthcare Appointments
The Medicaid Non-Emergency Transportation Program (NET) is for Medicaid-eligible individuals to and from Medicaid services. An individual must be eligible for Medicaid at the time they use NET services.
If you do not have a way to get to an appointment for health care services that are Medicaid covered services, you may be able to get free transportation. Also, if a Medicaid-eligible individual needs transportation to a pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, this would also be covered. Call our agency and ask for the Medicaid Non-Emergency Transportation staff.
It is important to plan ahead. Call for transportation as soon as you have made your doctor appointment or other health care appointment. In general, a request for non-emergency transportation should be made at least 10 working days in advance.
